Imperial Japanese Army 8th Nurse Company
Welcome to the website for 8th Nurse Company of the 4th Field Hospital of the Imperial Japanese Army. The 8th Nurse Company is a primary impression member unit of the 8th Shidan Historical Group. We are a living history reenactment unit that is dedicated to the portrayal of the little known Jūgun kango-shi, meaning Army Nurse, during World War 2.
By participating in living history displays, the unit strives to educate the public about the critical role that the Kango-shi (nurse) filled during the war years. Additionally, 8th Nurse Company participates in several private World War 2 battle reenactment scenarios throughout the year. We are always looking for new recruits, so feel free to contact us!
